English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Allah made the valley of Makkah sacred, and it was not made lawful for me except for one hour of one day. Its thorny plants are not to be uprooted, its trees are not to be cut, its game is not to be startled, and its lost property is not to be picked up except by one who announces it.' Al-Abbas said: 'O Messenger of Allah, except the idhkhir (lemongrass), for our houses and our graves.' He said: 'Except the idhkhir.'
