حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَمُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَقَالَ مُوسَى إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ مَاتَ وَعَلَيْهِ صِيَامٌ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ عَنْهُ وَلِيُّهُ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Ishaq narrated to us, he said: Ibn Lahi'ah informed us; and Musa ibn Dawud said: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Ubaydullah ibn Abi Ja'far, from Muhammad ibn Ja'far ibn al-Zubayr, from Urwah, from Aishah: that she asked the Messenger of Allah — and Musa said: that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said — concerning one who dies while owing days of fasting: the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "His guardian should fast on his behalf."
