English Translation
Waki' narrated to us, who said: an-Nahhas bin Qahm Abu al-Khattab narrated to us, from Shaddad Abu Ammar ash-Shami, who said: Awf bin Malik said: O plague, take me to yourself! They said to him: Have you not heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: The longer a Muslim lives, the better it is for him? He said: Yes, but I fear six things: the rule of fools, the selling of judgments, the abundance of the repressive police, the severing of family ties, a generation that will arise taking the Qur'an as musical instruments, and the shedding of blood.
