حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ أَنَّ قَيْسَ بْنَ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ شَدَّدَ سُلْطَانَهُ بِمَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ أَوْهَنَ اللَّهُ كَيْدَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.
English Translation
Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us: Ibn Lahi'a narrated to us: Yazid ibn Abi Habib narrated to us, that Qays ibn Sa'd ibn Ubada said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever strengthens his authority through disobedience to Allah, Allah will weaken his scheme on the Day of Resurrection."
