English Translation
Affan told us: Qays ibn al-Rabi' told us: Uthman ibn Shabur, a man from Banu Asad, told us, from Shaqiq or someone like him -- Qays was uncertain -- that a man entered upon Salman, and he called for whatever he had and said: "Were it not that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us, or were it not that we were forbidden, from one of us going to trouble for his companion, we would have gone to trouble for you."
