حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَنَّ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ أَخْبَرَ عَطَاءً أَنَّهُ قَبَّلَ امْرَأَتَهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَأَمَرَ امْرَأَتَهُ فَسَأَلَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ فَأَخْبَرَتْهُ امْرَأَتُهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُرَخَّصُ لَهُ فِي أَشْيَاءَ فَارْجِعِي إِلَيْهِ فَقُولِي لَهُ فَرَجَعَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ قَالَ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُرَخَّصُ لَهُ فِي أَشْيَاءَ فَقَالَ أَنَا أَتْقَاكُمْ لِلَّهِ وَأَعْلَمُكُمْ بِحُدُودِ اللَّهِ.
English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ibn Jurayj informed us: Zayd ibn Aslam informed me, from Ata' ibn Yasar, from a man of the Ansar, that the Ansari told Ata' that he kissed his wife in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was fasting. He ordered his wife to ask the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about that. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Messenger of Allah does that." So she informed him, and he said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is granted concessions in certain matters; go back to him and tell him." So she went back to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said what her husband had said. He said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is granted concessions in certain matters." So he said: "I am the most fearful of Allah among you and the most knowledgeable among you of the limits set by Allah."
