English Translation
Ya'ish b. Tikhfah al-Ghifari related: My father was among the People of the Bench. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, gave instructions concerning them, and men would take them off one or two at a time, until I remained the fifth of five. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Come along," and we went with him to the house of A'ishah. He said, "O A'ishah, feed us." She brought some hashishah, and we ate; then she brought hays shaped like a bird, and we ate; then he said, "O A'ishah, give us drink." She brought a large cup, and we drank; then she brought a small vessel containing milk, and we drank. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "If you wish, spend the night, and if you wish, go to the mosque." We said, "No, rather we will go to the mosque." He said: While I was in the mosque lying on my stomach, a man moved me with his foot and said, "This is a lying position that Allah dislikes." I looked, and it was the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. [A further chain, from Ya'ish b. Qays b. Tikhfah, from his father, who was among the People of the Bench, relates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "O so-and-so, take this one along with you," and mentions a similar account.]
