حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمْةَ عَنْ مُعَيْقِيبٍ قَالَ ذَكَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَسْحَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَعْنِي الْحَصَى فَقَالَ إِنْ كُنْتَ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَوَاحِدَةً.
English Translation
It was narrated from Mu'ayqib: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned smoothing [the pebbles] in the mosque, and said, "If you must do it, then only once."
