حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ الَأَشْهَلِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ أَتَاهُ فَحَدَّثَهُ أَوْ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا وَصَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Hisham, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, from Abu Ibrahim al-Ashhali, from his father: that he came to him and narrated to him, or informed him, that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say in the prayer over the dead: O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those present among us and those absent, our young and our old, our males and our females.
