English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, from a man among the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: that a man said to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: Tell me something by which I may live, and do not say too much to me lest I forget. He said: Avoid anger. Then the man repeated the request, and he said again: Avoid anger.
