English Translation
It was narrated to us by Affan, who narrated to us: Shu'bah — Abu Ishaq said, he informed us, [Shu'bah] said: I heard Silah ibn Zufar, from Hudhayfah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to the people of Najran: "I will indeed send to you a trustworthy man, a truly trustworthy man" — he said this more than twice — so the people looked forward eagerly to it, and he sent Abu Ubaydah, may Allah be pleased with him.
