حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرٌ أَبُو النَّضْرِ عَنْ رِبْعِىِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى حُذَيْفَةَ بِالْمَدَائِنِ لَيَالِيَ سَارَ النَّاسُ إِلَى عُثْمَانَ فَقَالَ يَا رِبْعِيُّ مَا فَعَلَ قَوْمُكَ قَالَ قُلْتُ عَنْ أَيِّ بَالِهِمْ تَسْأَلُ قَالَ مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنْهُمْ إِلَى هَذَا الرَّجُلِ فَسَمَّيْتُ رِجَالًا فِيمَنْ خَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ فَارَقَ الْجَمَاعَةَ وَاسْتَذَلَّ الْإِمَارَةَ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَا وَجْهَ لَهُ عِنْدَهُ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا رِبْعِيُّ بْنُ حِرَاشٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ أَنَّهُ أَتَاهُ بِالْمَدَائِنِ فَذَكَرَهُ.
English Translation
Ishaq b. Sulayman told us, Kathir Abu al-Nadr told us, from Rib'i b. Hirash, he said: I went to Hudhayfah at al-Mada'in in the nights when people set out against 'Uthman. He said: "O Rib'i, what has your people done?" I said: "About which of their affairs are you asking?" He said: "Who among them went out to this man?" So I named some men among those who had gone out to him. He said: "I heard the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Whoever separates from the community and belittles authority will meet God, Mighty and Majestic, with no standing before Him.'" Muhammad b. Bakr told us, Kathir b. Abi Kathir told us, Rib'i b. Hirash told us, from Hudhayfah: that he came to him at al-Mada'in, and he mentioned it.
