حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ سَعْدُ بْنُ طَارِقٍ حَدَّثَنَا رِبْعِيُّ بْنُ حِرَاشٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ بِمَا مَعَ الدَّجَّالِ مِنْ الدِّجَّالِ مَعَهُ نَهْرَانِ يَجْرِيَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا رَأْيَ الْعَيْنِ مَاءٌ أَبْيَضُ وَالْآخَرُ رَأْيَ الْعَيْنِ نَارٌ تَأَجَّجُ فَإِنْ أَدْرَكَنَّ وَاحِدًا مِنْكُمْ فَلْيَأْتِ النَّهَرَ الَّذِي يَرَاهُ نَارًا فَلْيُغْمِضْ ثُمَّ لِيُطَأْطِئْ رَأْسَهُ فَلْيَشْرَبْ فَإِنَّهُ مَاءٌ بَارِدٌ وَإِنَّ الدَّجَّالَ مَمْسُوحُ الْعَيْنِ الْيُسْرَى عَلَيْهَا ظَفَرَةٌ غَلِيظَةٌ مَكْتُوبٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ كَافِرٌ يَقْرَؤُهُ كُلُّ مُؤْمِنٍ كَاتِبٌ وَغَيْرُ كَاتِبٍ.
English Translation
Yazid b. Harun told us, Abu Malik al-Ashja'i - Sa'd b. Tariq - informed us, Rib'i b. Hirash told us, from Hudhayfah b. al-Yaman, he said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I know best what is with the Dajjal. With the Dajjal are two flowing rivers: one, to the eye, is white water, and the other, to the eye, is blazing fire. So if any of you reaches him, let him go to the river he sees as fire, and let him close his eyes, then lower his head, and drink, for it is cold water. The Dajjal is blind in the left eye, over which is a thick film; written between his eyes is 'Unbeliever,' which every believer reads, whether literate or illiterate."
