حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ فُضِّلَتْ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةُ عَلَى سَائِرِ الْأُمَمِ بِثَلَاثٍ جُعِلَتْ لَهَا الْأَرْضُ طَهُورًا وَمَسْجِدًا وَجُعِلَتْ صُفُوفُهَا عَلَى صُفُوفِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ذَا وَأُعْطِيتُ هَذِهِ الْآيَاتِ مِنْ آخِرِ الْبَقَرَةِ مِنْ كَنْزٍ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ لَمْ يُعْطَهَا نَبِيٌّ قَبْلِي قَالَ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ كُلُّهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
English Translation
Abu Mu'awiyah told us, Abu Malik al-Ashja'i told us, from Rib'i b. Hirash, from Hudhayfah, he said: "This nation has been favored over the other nations by three things: the earth has been made for it a means of purification and a place of prayer, and its rows in prayer have been made like the rows of the angels." He said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say this, and: "I was given these verses from the end of Surat al-Baqarah from a treasure beneath the Throne, which no prophet before me was given." Abu Mu'awiyah said: All of it is from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
