English Translation

Bahz told us: Hammad ibn Salama told us: Abu Imran informed us, who said: I said to Jundab, "I have pledged allegiance to Ibn az-Zubayr to fight the people of Syria." He said, "Perhaps you want to be able to say, 'Jundab gave me this ruling.'" I said, "I want that only for my own sake." He said, "Ransom yourself with your wealth." I said, "It will not be accepted from me." He said: I was, in the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, a strong young lad, and so-and-so told me that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The slain man will come on the Day of Resurrection clinging to his killer, and say, "O Lord, ask him why he killed me," and he will say, "For the sake of the dominion of so-and-so." So fear Allah - do not be that man.
