حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شَقِيقَ بْنَ حَيَّانَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ قَبِيصَةَ أَوْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ صَلَّى هَذَا الْحَيُّ مِنْ مُحَارِبٍ الصُّبْحَ فَلَمَّا صَلَّوْا قَالَ شَابٌّ مِنْهُمْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ سَيُفْتَحُ لَكُمْ مَشَارِقُ الْأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبُهَا وَإِنَّ عُمَّالَهَا فِي النَّارِ إِلَّا مَنْ اتَّقَى اللَّهَ وَأَدَّى الْأَمَانَةَ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'ba told us, from Muhammad ibn Abi Ya'qub, who said: I heard Shaqiq ibn Hayyan narrating from Mas'ud ibn Qabisa, or Qabisa ibn Mas'ud, who said: This tribe of Muharib prayed the dawn prayer, and when they had prayed, a young man among them said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: The eastern and western parts of the earth will be opened up for you, but its administrators will be in the Fire, except one who fears Allah and fulfills the trust.
