English Translation

Ibn Numayr told us: Abdullah ibn Ata told us, from Ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: A woman came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: O Messenger of Allah, I gave a slave-girl to my mother as charity, then my mother died and the slave-girl remained. He said: Your reward is assured, and she has returned to you as inheritance. She said: My mother owed a month's fast - shall I fast it on her behalf? He said: Yes. She said: My mother had not performed Hajj - shall I perform Hajj on her behalf? He said: Perform Hajj on behalf of your mother.
