حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ بُرَيْدَةَ بْنِ حُصَيْبٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ ثَلَاثٍ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ فَزُورُوهَا فَإِنَّ فِي زِيَارَتِهَا عِظَةً وَعِبْرَةً وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ فَكُلُوا وَادَّخِرُوا وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ النَّبِيذِ فِي هَذِهِ الْأَسْقِيَةِ فَاشْرَبُوا وَلَا تَشْرَبُوا حَرَامًا.
English Translation
Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim told us: My father told us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, who narrated it from Abdullah ibn Buraydah al-Aslami, from his father Buraydah ibn al-Husayb, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: that he said: I had forbidden you three things: I forbade you to visit graves, but visit them, for in visiting them there is admonition and a lesson; I forbade you the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three days, but eat and store it; and I forbade you the nabidh (steeped drink) in these water-skins, but drink it and do not drink what is unlawful.
