حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ جَاءَتْ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي تَصَدَّقْتُ عَلَى أُمِّي بِجَارِيَةٍ وَإِنَّهَا مَاتَتْ قَالَ آجَرَكِ اللَّهُ وَرَدَّ عَلَيْكِ الْمِيرَاثَ.
English Translation
Waki' narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Ata', from 'Abdullah ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: A woman came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, 'I gave a slave-girl in charity to my mother, and she died.' He said, 'Allah has rewarded you, and returned the inheritance to you.'
