حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ غَدْوَةٌ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا.
English Translation
Waki' ibn al-Jarrah narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Hazim, from Sahl ibn Sa'd — and Abd al-Rahman also narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Hazim, from Sahl ibn Sa'd al-Sa'idi — that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A single morning or evening expedition in the path of Allah is better than the world and all that is in it."
