English Translation
Zakariyya ibn Adi narrated to us: Ubaydullah ibn Amr informed us, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Umar ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Ubadah ibn al-Samit, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, informed us about the Night of Decree and said: It is in the month of Ramadan, so seek it in the last ten nights, for it is an odd night: the night of the twenty-first, or the twenty-third, or the twenty-fifth, or the twenty-seventh, or the last night of Ramadan. Whoever stands in prayer on it out of faith and seeking reward will have his previous sins forgiven.
