English Translation
Abd al-Samad narrated to us: Thabit narrated to us, from Asim, from Salman, a man from the people of Syria, from Junadah, from Ubadah ibn al-Samit, who said: I entered upon the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to visit him while he had a pain whose severity only Allah, Blessed and Exalted, knew. Then I entered upon him in the evening and he had recovered the best recovery. I said to him: I entered upon you this morning while you had pain whose severity only Allah knows, and I entered upon you this evening and you have recovered. He said: O Ibn al-Samit, Jibril, peace be upon him, performed a ruqyah upon me by which I recovered. Shall I not teach it to you? I said: Yes indeed. He said: In the name of Allah I perform ruqyah upon you from everything that harms you, from the envy of every envier and every evil eye; in the name of Allah He heals you.
