حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ عَنِ الْمُخْدَجِيِّ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ فِيهِ إِلَى فِيَّ لَا أَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي فُلَانٌ وَلَا فُلَانٌ خَمْسُ صَلَوَاتٍ افْتَرَضَهُنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ فَمَنْ لَقِيَهُ بِهِنَّ لَمْ يُضَيِّعْ مِنْهُنَّ شَيْئًا لَقِيَهُ وَلَهُ عِنْدَهُ عَهْدٌ يُدْخِلُهُ بِهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَمَنْ لَقِيَهُ وَقَدْ انْتَقَصَ مِنْهُنَّ شَيْئًا اسْتِخْفَافًا بِحَقِّهِنَّ لَقِيَهُ وَلَا عَهْدَ لَهُ إِنْ شَاءَ عَذَّبَهُ وَإِنْ شَاءَ غَفَرَ لَهُ.
English Translation
Ya'qub told us, my father told us, from Ibn Ishaq, Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban told us, from 'Abdullah ibn Muhayriz, from al-Mukhdaji, from 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me, mouth to mouth — I do not say so-and-so told me, nor so-and-so — "Five prayers which Allah has made obligatory upon His servants. Whoever meets Him having observed them, not having neglected anything of them, will meet Him having with Him a covenant by which He will admit him into Paradise. And whoever meets Him having diminished something of them out of contempt for their right, will meet Him with no covenant; if He wills He will punish him, and if He wills He will forgive him."
