English Translation
Yazid told us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq informed us, from Makhul, from Mahmud ibn al-Rabi', from Ubadah ibn al-Samit, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, led us in the dawn prayer, and the recitation became heavy upon him. When he finished, he said, "I see that you recite behind your imam." They said, "Yes, by Allah, O Messenger of Allah, we indeed do this." He said, "Do not do so, except with the Mother of the Qur'an, for there is no prayer for one who does not recite it."
