حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ رِوَايَةً يَبْلُغُ بِهَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ.
English Translation
Sufyan ibn Uyaynah told us, from al-Zuhri, from Mahmud ibn al-Rabi', from Ubadah ibn al-Samit, a narration he traced back to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "There is no prayer for one who does not recite the Opening of the Book."
