حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ بَيْتِنَا فَرَأَى كَوْكَبًا انْقَضَّ فَنَظَرُوا إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ إِنَّا قَدْ نُهِينَا أَنْ نُتْبِعَهُ أَبْصَارَنَا.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Anas, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "None of you truly believes until I am dearer to him than his family, his wealth, and all people."
