حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يُخْلَطَ شَيْءٌ مِنْهُ بِشَيْءٍ وَلَكِنْ لِيُنْتَبَذْ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَلَى حِدَةٍ.
English Translation
Waki' narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Wa'il, from 'Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not wish for death, for the terror of the standing (on the Day of Judgment) is immense. And part of the blessing of a man's long life is that Allah grants him repentance."
