English Translation
Al-Hakam ibn Nafi' narrated to us, Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from Bahir ibn Sa'd, from Khalid ibn Ma'dan, from Kathir ibn Murrah, from Nu'aym ibn Hammar, that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): 'Which martyrs are the best?' He said: "Those who, when they meet in the battle line, do not turn their faces away until they are killed. They shall roam freely in the upper chambers of Paradise, and their Lord shall smile upon them. And when your Lord smiles upon a servant in this world, there will be no reckoning for him."
