حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الطَّالَقَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو أَسْمَاءَ الرَّحَبِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي ثَوْبَانُ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْصَرِفَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ قَالَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ تَبَارَكْتَ ذَا الْجِلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ.
English Translation
Abu Ishaq al-Talaqani narrated to us, 'Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, Abu 'Ammar narrated to me, Abu Asma' al-Rahabi narrated to me, Thawban narrated to me, who said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wanted to conclude his prayer, he would say: 'Astaghfirullah (I seek forgiveness from Allah)' three times, then he would say: 'Allahumma Anta al-Salam wa minka al-Salam, tabarakta ya Dha al-Jalali wa al-Ikram (O Allah, You are al-Salam [the Source of Peace] and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor).'"
