حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ صَالِحٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْحَارِثِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْبَذَاذَةُ مِنْ الْإِيمَانِ.
English Translation
Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Zuhayr — that is, Ibn Muhammad — from Salih — that is, Ibn Kaysan — from Abdullah ibn Abi Umama al-Harithi, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Simplicity and plainness (of dress and manner) are part of faith."
