حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَحْرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَبِيعُوا الْمُغَنِّيَاتِ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوهُنَّ وَلَا تُعَلِّمُوهُنَّ وَلَا خَيْرَ فِي تِجَارَةٍ فِيهِنَّ وَثَمَنُهُنَّ حَرَامٌ.
English Translation
Abu Salama narrated to us: Bakr ibn Mudar informed us: Ubaydullah ibn Zahr narrated to me, from Ali ibn Yazid, from al-Qasim, from Abu Umama, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not sell singing-girls, nor buy them, nor teach them; there is no good in trading in them, and their price is unlawful."
