حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ سَيَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فُضِّلْتُ بِأَرْبَعٍ جُعِلَتْ الْأَرْضُ لِأُمَّتِي مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا وَأُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى النَّاسِ كَافَّةً وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ شَهْرٍ يَسِيرُ بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ وَأُحِلَّتْ لِأُمَّتِي الْغَنَائِمُ.
English Translation
Yazid told us, Sulayman al-Taymi told us, from Sayyar, from Abu Umamah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I have been favored with four things: the earth has been made for my nation a place of prostration and a means of purification; I have been sent to all people; I have been aided by awe [in the hearts of enemies] from a month's journey, going ahead of me; and the spoils of war have been made lawful for my nation."
