English Translation
Abd al-Samad narrated to us: Hammad narrated to us, from al-Jurayri, from Abu al-Massha, who is Laqit ibn al-Massha, from Abu Umamah, who said: The Hour will not come until the best of the people of Iraq move to Syria and the worst of the people of Syria move to Iraq. And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, 'Hold fast to Syria.' Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Abu al-Muthanna is called Laqit, and they say Ibn al-Muthanna and Abu al-Muthanna.
