حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ عُمَرُ لَمِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ مَا رَأَى فِي يَقَظَتِهِ أَوْ نَوْمِهِ فَهُوَ حَقٌّ وَإِنَّهُ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا أَنَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ إِذْ رَأَيْتُ فِيهَا دَارًا فَقُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذِهِ فَقِيلَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ.
English Translation
Abdullah told us, my father told me, Muhammad ibn Bakr told us, Mis'ar told us, from Abd al-Malik ibn Maysarah, from Mus'ab ibn Sa'd, from Mu'adh, who said: 'Umar was indeed among the people of Paradise. Whatever the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw while awake or asleep was true, and he said: "While I was in Paradise, I saw a house there, and I said, 'Whose is this?' It was said, 'It belongs to Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him.'"
