حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى قُرًى عَرَبِيَّةٍ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آخُذَ حَظَّ الْأَرْضِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ حَظُّ الْأَرْضِ الثُّلُثُ وَالرُّبُعُ.
English Translation
Abdullah told us, my father told me, Abd al-Razzaq told us, Sufyan informed us, from Jabir, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad, from Muhammad ibn Zayd, from Mu'adh, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent me to Arab settlements and commanded me to take the share of the land. Sufyan said: The share of the land is a third or a quarter.
