English Translation
Abdullah told us, my father told me, Affan told us, Hammad — meaning Ibn Salamah — told us, said: I was with Asim ibn Bahdalah and Thabit, and Asim narrated from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Abu Zabyah, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no Muslim who goes to sleep in a state of purity, remembering Allah, and then wakes during the night and asks Allah for good in this world and the Hereafter, but that He gives it to him." Thabit said, "He came to us and narrated this hadith to us, and I do not know it except through Abu Zabyah." I said to Hammad, "From Mu'adh?" He said, "From Mu'adh."
