حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ قَالَا ثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنِي بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ أَبِي بَحْرِيَّةَ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فَقَالَ هِيَ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ أَوْ فِي الْخَامِسَةِ أَوْ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ.
English Translation
Haywah ibn Shurayh and Yazid ibn Abd Rabbih told us, they said: Baqiyyah ibn al-Walid told us, Bahir ibn Sa'd told me, from Khalid ibn Ma'dan, from Abu Bahriyyah, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the Night of Decree, and he said: It is in the last ten nights, or the fifth, or the third from the end.
