English Translation
'Abd al-Rahman b. Mahdi told us, Malik told us, from Damrah b. Sa'id, from 'Ubaydullah b. 'Abdullah, that 'Umar b. al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, asked Abu Waqid al-Laythi what the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to recite on the [two] festivals. He said: "He used to recite Qaf and Iqtarabat (The Hour has drawn near)."
