حَدَّثَنَا عَارِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا تَمِيمَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ يُحَدِّثُهُ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ كَانَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْخُذُنِي فَيُقْعِدُنِي عَلَى فَخِذِهِ وَيُقْعِدُ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْأُخْرَى ثُمَّ يَضُمُّنَا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْهُمَا فَإِنِّي أَرْحَمُهُمَا قَالَ أَبِي قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ هُوَ السَّلِّيُّ مِنْ عَنَزَةَ إِلَى رَبِيعَةَ يَعْنِي أَبَا تَمِيمَةَ السَّلِّيَّ.
English Translation
Arim ibn al-Fadl told us, Mu'tamir told us, from his father, who said: I heard Abu Tamimah relate, from Abu Uthman al-Nahdi - Abu Uthman relating it - from Usamah ibn Zayd, who said: The Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to take me and sit me on one of his thighs, and sit al-Hasan ibn Ali on his other thigh, then draw us close together and say: O Allah, have mercy on them both, for I have mercy on them. My father said: Ali ibn al-Madini said: He is al-Silli, from Anazah, affiliated to Rabi'ah, meaning Abu Tamimah al-Silli.
