حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُبَيٍّ فِي مَرَضِهِ نَعُودُهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ كُنْتُ أَنْهَاكَ عَنْ حُبِّ يَهُودَ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ أَبْغَضَهُمْ أَسْعَدُ بْنُ زُرَارَةَ فَمَاتَ.
English Translation
Qutaybah ibn Sa'id told us, Yahya ibn Zakariyya ibn Abi Za'idah told us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from al-Zuhri, from Urwah, from Usamah ibn Zayd, who said: I entered with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, upon Abdullah ibn Ubayy during his illness, to visit him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: I used to forbid you from loving the Jews. Abdullah said: Sa'd ibn Zurarah hated them, and [see what happened to him], he died.
