حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُوحٍ قُرَادٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ الشُّهَدَاءِ الَّذِي يَأْتِي بِشَهَادَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْأَلَهَا أَوْ يُخْبِرُ بِشَهَادَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْأَلَهَا.
English Translation
Abu Nuh Qurad told us: Malik ibn Anas told us, from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr, from his father, from Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Uthman ibn Affan, from Ibn Abi Amrah al-Ansari, from Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Shall I not tell you of the best of witnesses - the one who gives his testimony before he is asked for it,' or 'informs of his testimony before he is asked for it.'
