English Translation
Yunus ibn Muhammad told us: Abd al-Rahman ibn Abdullah ibn Abi al-Zinad told us, from his father, from Kharijah ibn Zayd, who said: Zayd ibn Thabit said: 'The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, arrived in Madinah while we used to sell fruit before its ripeness became apparent. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, heard a dispute and said: "What is this?" It was said to him: "These people bought fruit and are saying blight and shriveling has struck us." So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not sell it to one another until its ripeness becomes apparent."' Surayj told us and said: 'al-udman and al-qusham.'
