English Translation
Abdullah ibn al-Harith told us, from Shibl, from Amr ibn Dinar, from Tawus, from Hujr al-Madari, from Zayd ibn Thabit, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Whoever gives a gift for life ('umra), it belongs to the one to whom it was given, for his life and his death. Do not make ruqba gifts; whoever makes a ruqba gift of something, it follows the rule of inheritance.'
