حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هُبَيْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَبِيصَةَ بْنَ ذُؤَيْبٍ يَقُولُ إِنَّ عَائِشَةَ أَخْبَرَتْ آلَ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى عِنْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ فَكَانُوا يُصَلُّونَهَا قَالَ قَبِيصَةُ فَقَالَ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لِعَائِشَةَ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ عَائِشَةَ إِنَّمَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ لِأَنَّ أُنَاسًا مِنْ الْأَعْرَابِ أَتَوْا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَجِيرٍ فَقَعَدُوا يَسْأَلُونَهُ وَيُفْتِيهِمْ حَتَّى صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَعَدَ يُفْتِيهِمْ حَتَّى صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ فَانْصَرَفَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ فَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يُصَلِّ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ شَيْئًا فَصَلَّاهُمَا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لِعَائِشَةَ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ عَائِشَةَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْ آلَ الزُّبَيْرِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ.
English Translation
Hasan ibn Musa told us: Ibn Lahi'a told us: Abdullah ibn Hubayra told us, he said: I heard Qabisa ibn Dhu'ayb say: Aisha informed the family of al-Zubayr that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed two rak'ahs at her place after the afternoon prayer, so they began to pray them regularly. Qabisa said: So Zayd ibn Thabit said: "May Allah forgive Aisha; we know the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, better than Aisha does. That was only because some Bedouins came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, at midday and sat asking him and seeking his rulings, until he prayed the noon prayer and did not pray two additional rak'ahs, then he sat giving them rulings until he prayed the afternoon prayer, then he returned to his house and remembered that he had not prayed anything after the noon prayer, so he prayed those two rak'ahs after the afternoon prayer. May Allah forgive Aisha; we know the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, better than Aisha does — the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade praying after the afternoon prayer." Yahya ibn Ishaq told us: Ibn Lahi'a told us, from Abdullah ibn Hubayra, from Qabisa ibn Dhu'ayb, from Aisha, that she informed the family of al-Zubayr, and he mentioned its meaning.
