English Translation

Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, Hisham told us, my father told me, that Abu Murawih al-Ghifari informed him, that Abu Dharr informed him, that he said: "O Messenger of Allah, which deed is best?" He said: "Faith in Allah and struggle in His way." He said: "Then which slave (to free) is best?" He said: "The most expensive in price and the most precious to its owner." He said: "What if I do not do that?" He said: "You help a craftsman, or you work for one who is unskilled." He said: "What if I am too weak?" He said: "Refrain from evil, for that is a charity you give to yourself."
