حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ يَعْنِي الْمُعَلِّمَ عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْمَرَ أَنَّ أَبَا الْأَسْوَدِ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَيْسَ مِنْ رَجُلٍ ادَّعَى لِغَيْرِ أَبِيهِ وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا كَفَرَ وَمَنْ ادَّعَى مَا لَيْسَ لَهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا وَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنْ النَّارِ وَمَنْ دَعَا رَجُلًا بِالْكُفْرِ أَوْ قَالَ عَدُوُّ اللَّهِ وَلَيْسَ كَذَاكَ إِلَّا حَارَ عَلَيْهِ.
English Translation
Abd al-Samad told us: my father told us: Husayn, that is al-Mu'allim, told us, from Ibn Buraydah: Yahya ibn Ya'mar told me, that Abu al-Aswad told him, from Abu Dharr, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "There is no man who claims descent from other than his father, knowing it to be false, but that he has disbelieved. And whoever claims what is not his has nothing to do with us, and let him take his seat in the Fire. And whoever calls a man an unbeliever, or says 'enemy of Allah,' when he is not so, it will return upon him."
