حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ خَرَشَةَ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ وَالْمَسْعُودِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ عَنْ خَرَشَةَ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمْ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ هُمْ فَقَدْ خَابُوا وَخَسِرُوا قَالَ الْمَنَّانُ وَالْمُسْبِلُ وَالْمُنَفِّقُ سِلْعَتَهُ بِالْحَلِفِ الْفَاجِرِ.
English Translation
Waki' told us: al-A'mash told us, from a man, from Kharashah, from Abu Dharr; and al-Mas'udi, from Ali ibn Mudrik, from Kharashah, from Abu Dharr, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Three whom Allah will not speak to on the Day of Resurrection, nor look at, nor purify, and for them is a painful punishment." I said: O Messenger of Allah, who are they? They have failed and lost! He said: "The one who reproaches for what he has given, the one who lets his garment trail in pride, and the one who markets his goods with a false oath."
