حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ الْمَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَكْثَرُونَ هُمْ الْأَسْفَلُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَّا مَنْ قَالَ بِالْمَالِ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَقَلِيلٌ مَا هُمْ.
English Translation
Waki' told us: al-A'mash told us, from al-Ma'rur ibn Suwayd, from Abu Dharr, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me: "Those who have the most wealth are the lowest in rank on the Day of Resurrection, except one who spends of his wealth: like this, and like this, and like this, and like this" - and few are they.
