English Translation
Waki' told us, from Sufyan, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim al-Taymi, from his father, from Abu Dharr, who said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, which mosque was placed first? He said: "The Sacred Mosque." I said: Then which? He said: "Then the Farthest Mosque." I said: How long between them? He said: "Forty years. Then wherever the time of prayer overtakes you, pray, for it is a mosque." Ubaydah told us: al-A'mash told us and mentioned it, except that he said: "Which mosque was placed on earth first?"
