حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ عَنْ الْمَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ أَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الصَّادِقُ الْمَصْدُوقُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيمَا يَرْوِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ الْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا أَوْ أَزِيدُ وَالسَّيِّئَةُ بِوَاحِدَةٍ أَوْ أَغْفِرُ وَلَوْ لَقِيتَنِي بِقُرَابِ الْأَرْضِ خَطَايَا مَا لَمْ تُشْرِكْ بِي لَقِيتُكَ بِقُرَابِهَا مَغْفِرَةً قَالَ وَقُرَابُ الْأَرْضِ مِلْءُ الْأَرْضِ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ الْمَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الصَّادِقَ الْمَصْدُوقَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ.
English Translation
Affan narrated to us: Hammam narrated to us: Asim narrated to us, from al-Ma'rur ibn Suwayd, that Abu Dharr said: The truthful one, [whose truthfulness is confirmed], peace and blessings be upon him, related to us from his Lord, Mighty and Majestic is He, that He said: "The good deed is [rewarded] tenfold or more, and the evil deed is [recorded] as one, or I forgive it. And were you to meet Me with sins filling the earth, as long as you did not associate anything with Me, I would meet you with forgiveness filling it." He said: "And 'filling the earth' means the fullness of the earth." Affan narrated to us: Abu Awanah narrated to us, from Asim, from al-Ma'rur ibn Suwayd, from Abu Dharr, who said: I heard the truthful one, [whose truthfulness is confirmed], peace and blessings be upon him -- and he mentioned something similar in meaning.
